Margy Brown grew up in El Paso in a real estate family. Her father was a dentist, but both her mother and sister were licensed Realtors.
She lived in Breckenridge, Colo., and worked in the ski industry for 12 years until 1994. She then moved back to El Paso with her two boys, one of which is now beginning his real estate career.
The real estate bug finally bit Margy in 1995, and she earned her license in Texas. In 2005, Margy moved to Las Cruces where she studied for her New Mexico license, and then after six months, decided to get her Qualifying Broker’s license.
Although she loves all parts of the Realtor experience, she says there is nothing quite like the joy of helping first-time home buyers achieve the American Dream of home ownership.
Just over five years ago, Margy found a new passion in the Golden Retriever Rescue. She serves on the GRR Board of Directors and as a foster parent for puppies and special-needs goldens.
When not serving Las Cruces’ real estate needs, Margy enjoys playing pickleball - a fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. She has even had great success at the tournament level, placing third in very first tournament and earning first place in a mixed-doubles tournament in November 2016.
Margy also loves to cook and entertain. The rest of her free time is spent traveling to visit her two terrific grandchildren as often as possible.
